Municipal solid waste is transported by a crane into the feed hopper, and the waste is pushed onto the grate by a feeder. The combustion of waste occurs on a moving grate. This process is monitored by internal systems for efficient operation and optimal fire position on the grate. As the combustion process completes, the (inert) ash deposits in the ash extractor are transported to storage for potential metals recovery and further use. As the gases are released from the waste, they are mixed with secondary air and recirculated flue gases above the grate. This process allows for complete combustion and minimal CO, NOx and VOC emissions, as well as optimal plant efficiency. The released energy is channeled to produce high-temperate steam, which expands in a turbine generator to produce electricity. Flue gases are filtered to meet the highest environment standards and monitored by internal system of quality control.
